ACTIVITIES DURING MARCH 2022
R.C.I INSPECTION TEAM VISIT SCERT B.ED. SPECIAL EDUCATION (V.I)
Mr. Sudeep Kumar Dubey, Durgabai Deshmukh, College of Special Education, Delhi and Mrs. Sohini Ghosh, Department of Adult, Continuing Education, Extension and Filed Outreach-Kolkata conducted joint assessment of the B.Ed. Special Education Visual Impairment—SCERT, Mizoram on 8th March, 2022 for Extension Proposal . Various facilities were assessed with regard to adequacy of the standards of education of the programme viz infrastructure, faculty, equipments, library, hostel, practical room, inclusive school, Blind School, Durtlang. Number of Children with Special Needs, teaching and non teaching staff and other relevant facilities along with the supporting documents as prescribed in the norms provided by the Rehabilitation Council of India.
On 8th March, 2022(Tuesday) the Inspection Team of RCI visited B.Ed Special Education (V.I) affiliated under Mizoram University. Under the guidance of our Director Pi Laldawngliani Chawngthu, 2 classrooms were renovated and premises along with students Toilets were cleaned up for this inspection. There is a good and dedicated co-operation amongst the staff, knowing that it is the only course for H.I & V.I in Mizoram.
Inspection Team arrived at 9:15 in the morning. After welcoming by the Director in her Chamber, they were brief with the history of B.ed Special education Course and how far we have done till date.
The Inspection went smoothly without any difficulty, and the team seemed to be impressed on their findings and praise our dedication and co operations. The documents & data’s provided to us were completed, packed and sent to RCI headquarter through speed post in their presence.
All this can happen due to our respected Director who supported us physically and financially in our preparations, and the Cooperation of all SCERT staff regardless of designation, we all show our full strength & support.
Experts were deputed by the Rehabilitation Council of India and their joint assessment report will be submitted to the RCI duly signed.
